Ltd., based in Chennai, introduced Jodi365.com—a next-generation matchmaking platform—well before the recent wave of here-today/gone-tomorrow casual dating sites and the more-recent Tinder-for-India wannabes. (Jodi365 caters to quality singles and helps them find the right partner at their own pace, whether they are ready for marriage in the near term or want to get to know someone as friends first.) Having recently launched a re-built, scaleable v.7 of our innovative, patent-pending system and a mobile app, we are growing briskly. We are also introducing Peepul365.com, a complementary wedding planning platform and marketplace that helps people discover beautiful venues, connect with curated vendors and service providers, and plan a special event.

We are looking to add to our team another full-stack developer skilled in Node.js, Angular, and data structures (a knowledge of NoSQL and graph databases would be a bonus) as we take our products and services to greater heights.

ABOUT THIS JOB:

The ideal Full-Stack Developer / Software Engineer will have solid programming and web development experience, including experience integrating front-end code with server-side technology on dynamic consumer-facing websites. The work would be at FreeElective Network's office in the heart of Chennai, a few miles from the IIT-Madras campus. The position represents a terrific opportunity to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, especially for someone who is excited about seeing their work get used and appreciated by thousands of users on a daily basis. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, test, develop, and deploy production-ready web applications using Node.js and client-side code
• Build elegant, responsive, and optimized (cross-platform) web applications and user interfaces with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Angular
• Write well-tested and documented RESTful backend APIs that service the frontend with JSON
• Support the Software Architect in re-configuring, testing, and managing the backend infrastructure on Digital Ocean/AWS (Amazon Web Services) to support a secure, scalable, and rapidly-evolving web application
• Understand how users interact with our features through extensive use of analytics and continuously improve user experience
• Rapidly resolve application issues/bugs that may arise
• Assist management team in ensuring efficient progress of workflow and transforming business visions into reality

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIREMENTS:

• Exceptional coding skills and prior experience with web development
• Deep JavaScript experience, including framework experience and debugging tools
• Able to design, code, unit test, and debug complex, DOM-based web software applications supporting multiple browsers
• Able to take mockups and create high-performance web pages

PREFERENCES:

• Experience in an Agile development life cycle
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design, coding, and testing patterns
• Bonus points for DevOps experience, including tuning services such as Memcached, Redis, and Nginx
• Proficiency in source code management practices and working knowledge of version control tools
• Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science or related major
