ABOUT THIS JOB:
The ideal Marketing Analyst will have a passion for marketing and be well-versed in various aspects of digital marketing. The work would nominally be at FreeElective Network's office in the heart of Chennai, a few miles from the IIT-Madras campus. (Most of the team has been working remotely since March 2020, and the option to work from home could be made available over time.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Devise effective go-to-market strategies and assist in the refinement of the overall marketing plan to meet the company's business objectives
- Develop segment-specific marketing communications based on company goals, brand, and market initiatives
- Work closely with user support, product management, marketing teammates to create and oversee search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), and social media marketing (SMM) campaigns
- Monitor results of all programs and analyze performance, using a variety of analytical tools, to maximize returns from marketing
- Assist management team in ensuring efficient progress of workflow and transforming business visions into reality
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated aptitude for marketing, analytics, communications, public relations, or related fields
- Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices
- Possess a balance of creative passion, disciplined strategic thinking, an analytical mindset, and a willingness to be hands-on
- Excellent knowledge of office productivity software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and relevant digital marketing tools
PREFERENCES:
- Proven experience as a T-shaped marketer, with a strong foundation in marketing and expertise in one particular area, such as SEO, SEM, SMM, content marketing, or PR.
- Demonstrated record of success in marketing roles requiring planning and budgeting, resource allocation, decision making, and execution
- Working knowledge of ad serving tools
- Bachelor's or higher degree in marketing, economics, business, sociology, psychology, mathematics, physics, or engineering
DESIRED SOFT SKILLS:
- Team player with strong analytical and project management skills
- Organized and detail-oriented individual who works well with deadlines
- Willingness to learn, switch roles as necessary, and to roll up one's sleeves to get a job done
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment
- Energized by the opportunities and challenges of working at a small and growing company
